What do these counts tell me?
GCEK Net uses its own text-based counter from day one.
We count unique visits as well as page-views. Unique
visitors are not counted, though. Of course, you understand
that unique visit and unique visitor are different. Hence,
the counts we show are of visits to this site since it was
born on 04 May 2001 till you came in (inclusive). That stands at
74531 visits and 6345307 page views.
Quite impressive, eh?
Apart from the totals, you see daily counts. Daily counts are the
average for this year (i.e. Visit Now - Visit at start of year)/Days.
We have

Counting is a slight overhead to page delivery, but helps us in
making statistical and traffic-related hosting decisions.
